Who we are

Quote Composer provides quoting software to fence contractors. When you request a quote, you are dealing with the contractor whose site or link you used. They decide what to do with your enquiry; we store and process it on their behalf.

What we collect

When you request a quote, we collect:

• The property address you enter, and its map coordinates
• The fence layout you draw and the materials you select
• Your name, email address, phone number, and any notes you add
• Any photos you choose to upload
• Basic usage events about how the quote flow was used, so contractors can see where people drop off

When you accept a quote, we additionally record your typed signature, the time, your IP address, and your browser's user agent, as evidence of the acceptance.

For contractors using the dashboard, we collect account and organization details through our sign-in provider, plus the workspace settings you configure.

How we use it

To produce your quote, send it to you, notify the contractor, and let both sides follow up. We use aggregate usage data to operate and improve the product. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your details for advertising.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry is shared with the contractor you requested it from. Beyond that, we use the service providers below to run the product. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.

• Vercel — Application hosting and file storage
• Neon — Database hosting
• Mapbox — Address lookup and satellite imagery
• Resend — Transactional email delivery
• Clerk — Contractor account sign-in and organizations
• Stripe — Deposit payments, when a contractor enables them
• Sentry — Error monitoring

A contractor may also forward lead details to their own CRM or chat tools if they have configured that. Those systems are outside our control and governed by that contractor's own policies.

Links in your email

Quote and account links contain a long random identifier and are not listed in search engines. Anyone with the link can view that quote, so treat it as private and avoid forwarding it to people you don't want to see your details.

Retention

We keep quote records for as long as the contractor's account is active, since they form that business's customer history. Photos uploaded but never submitted with a quote are deleted automatically.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by writing to contact@quotecomposer.com. If your request concerns a quote you sent a contractor, we may need to refer you to them, or act on their instruction, since it is their customer record.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
